Individual Therapy, EMDR, Brainspotting, and DBT for Adults
Many people find that they need a little help to make the changes necessary to live their lives to the fullest. If you're interested in changing your life, individual therapy is a great place to start. I use a variety of therapeutic modalities including EMDR, Brainspotting, and DBT to help my clients realize their dreams, pulling from cutting-edge neuroscience as well as spiritual and philosophical traditions. I also incorporate somatic, cognitive-behavioral, and psychodynamic approaches in my work.
Individual Therapy, EMDR, Brainspotting, and DBT for Adolescents
I have in-depth training and experience in working with adolescents and the unique issues that the stage of adolescence presents. When treating adolescents, I offer parenting and family sessions to complement the adolescent's individual work and to ensure that families are creating an atmosphere that supports each individual's growth. I typically see clients 1-2 times per week, with parenting sessions 1-2 times per month, and joint parent-adolescent sessions 1-2 times per month, based on client needs. I also coordinate with outside providers including psychiatrists, school counselors, and teachers, to ensure that I'm getting a good picture of how my clients are functioning at school and at home. In addition to adults, adolescents can benefit from DBT, EMDR, and Brainspotting to alleviate symptoms of depression, anxiety, trauma, and mood dysregulation.
I have often found that incorporating family and/or couples therapy in addition to individual therapy is the best way to help support individuals in their own process of transformation. I offer family as a primary modality as well as in addition to individual therapy.
DBT Skills Group, Group Therapy
I am excited to announce the start of 2 outpatient DBT Skills Groups with a focus on integrating DBT skills into daily life. These groups are perfect for clients who have completed IOP and need a little extra support, or anyone who's struggling with emotion regulation, depression, anxiety, or impulsivity.
